~ Say The Word ~

02.November.2025

Obedience matters. Every choice we make carries weight, shaping the life we live and the legacy we leave. Today we’ll see how faith and trust in God made all the difference for someone who chose to follow Him fully.

The Roman centurion understood authority. When he gave an order, soldiers obeyed and without question. His words carried power in his world, and his commands moved men. Yet when his servant fell ill, this man of high rank came humbly before Jesus, recognizing a Higher authority than his own.

He didn’t ask Jesus to come into his home. He simply said, “Lord, I am not worthy for You to come under my roof, but only say the word, and my servant will be healed.” That quiet confidence in the Word of Christ revealed a faith unlike any other. Scripture says “When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!” (Matthew‬ ‭8‬:‭10‬)

This centurion knew that when Jesus speaks, creation listens. “For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.” (Psalms‬ ‭33‬:‭9‬)

He trusted the authority that once formed galaxies and now stood before him in flesh.

That same Word still goes out today and never returns empty. As God promises, “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” (Isaiah‬ ‭55‬:‭11‬‬‬)

Faith like this doesn’t demand signs or visible proof. It rests quietly in the assurance of what cannot yet be seen. “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭1‬)

The centurion teaches us what it means to trust God’s authority completely, to believe that if He has spoken, it is already done.

Faithful obedience leaves a lasting legacy. The choices we make today echo into tomorrow, shaping who we are and how God’s story is told through us. Tomorrow, we’ll meet another faith giant whose trust in God changed everything.

If you’ve never surrendered to Jesus or have strayed, it’s not too late. He’s waiting to restore and renew you. Return to Him today and say this out loud:

~ Dear Heavenly Father ~

Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.

Make today count and see you tomorrow.
