Knowing Him Daily

Jesus taught us to pray: “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10). This simple phrase carries profound truth: heaven is our blueprint for life on earth.

Take a moment to imagine heaven. There is no sickness. No premature loss. No despair, no addiction, or brokenness. There is only peace, abundance, restoration, and joy. If it doesn’t exist in heaven, it’s not God’s will on earth. I’m certain this will go against the grain of many people’s theology. Don’t take my word for it, study it out.

This perspective changes how we pray, how we respond to challenges, and how we walk in obedience. When life brings trials, it can be easy to accept the enemy’s lies: “This is God’s will; this is your lot.” But the New Testament reveals the heart of God: He desires life, freedom, and flourishing for His children. Anything that steals, kills, or destroys is from the enemy, not from our good Father. Think again, is that what you would desire for your child? I challenge you that the answer would be no. So why would our heavenly father who sacrificed his only son, for the redemption of our sins,not want the very best for us his children?

When you live with heaven as your model:

• You pray with expectation, not resignation.
• You recognize that God’s promises are alive and powerful.
• You walk boldly in faith, believing that life on earth can reflect His kingdom here and now.

Which areas of your life would change today if you consistently approached them knowing that you always win, that you were an automatic shoe-in, that you always walk in the favor of God? Because you have, and you do… more tomorrow.

As you embrace heaven as your blueprint, let “I’m Walking on Sunshine” inspire your heart. Celebrate the favor and victory God has already given you. He’s not knocking on your door as song implies, he already did. Walk boldly, confidently, and joyfully, because heaven’s abundance and your God-given victory are real, and they are yours today.

Lord, help me to see my life through the lens of heaven. Teach me to pray and live according to Your perfect will which is Your Word. Let Your kingdom be evident in every area of my life, and help me walk in faith, freedom, and victory as You intended.
