~Silencing the Noise~

23.August.2025

In order to hear the voice of Jesus clearly, we must be intentional. His whisper is never drowned out, but our ears grow dull when we let the world, our minds, and even our own doubts clamor for attention. Silencing the noise isn’t just about removing distractions—it’s about choosing what to listen to, recognizing the true enemy within our thoughts, and standing in the authority that Jesus has given us.

Smith Wigglesworth said it best: “Faith has a deaf ear to yourself and an open ear to God.”

This captures the heart of it: faith refuses the self-sabotaging chatter and leans fully into God’s voice.

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” ~Romans 12:2 NKJV~

Renewal comes through disciplining our thoughts in His presence, making space for His voice.

Jesus modeled this: “So He Himself often withdrew into the wilderness and prayed.” ~Luke‬ ‭5‬:‭16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬~

If even the Son of God needed quiet, how much more should we guard silence in our lives?

And when the enemy bombards our thoughts, God’s Word gives us a battle plan:

“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds… bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.” ~2 Corinthians 10:4–5 NKJV~

The noise will not silence itself, we must take authority over it. Every thought, every suggestion, every whisper that contradicts the Word of God must be arrested and made to bow to Jesus.

When we quiet everything else, the lies, the fear, the distractions, and lift our faith to listen, His voice becomes unmistakable. And His voice is always peace, always life, always truth.

When you silence the noise, His direction becomes clear, yet what He asks of us will always be greater than our own ability. That’s the beauty of walking with Him: His Spirit empowers what we cannot do alone. Quiet your heart, lean in, and obey His voice with confidence.

~ Dear Heavenly Father ~

Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.

Make today count and see you tomorrow.
