The other day we talked about what we pray about versus what we take authority over. Today, let’s press into one of the most important areas we must guard carefully, our minds.
Our thoughts determine the atmosphere of our hearts, the direction of our decisions, and ultimately the fruit of our lives. That’s why the enemy works overtime to plant lies, doubts, fears, and distractions in our minds. But God has given us authority through His Word and Spirit to choose what we think on.
Paul tells us:
“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” ~2 Corinthians 10:5~
This means we are not powerless victims of our thoughts. We are the gatekeepers. We decide if fear stays or goes, if condemnation takes root or gets cast out, if the promises of God fill our meditation or if worry steals our peace.
“Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.”~Philippians 4:8, NLT~
Renewing the mind is not a one-time event; it’s a daily decision. Every morning we choose: Will I think God’s thoughts or entertain the lies of the enemy?
When we choose His Word, peace follows. Isaiah 26:3 promises:
“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.”
So today, don’t let your thoughts run wild. Take authority over them. Line them up with God’s truth, and watch His peace and power flood your heart.

This song is a powerful reminder that we are not at the mercy of our circumstances or our thoughts, but victorious in Jesus.
If you’ve never given your life to Jesus, or if you’ve walked away, trying to do life your own way it’s not too late. He’s calling you back. He’s been waiting.
Return to Him today. Surrender your plans, your pain, and your past. He’s ready to restore, renew, and realign you with your divine purpose.
~ Dear Heavenly Father ~
Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.
Make today count and see you tomorrow.
