~Stories Change Lives!~

15.August.2025

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony…” ~Revelation 12:11 KJV~

You don’t need a pulpit to preach, just a willing heart and your own story. God can take your testimony, no matter how simple, and use it to open someone’s eyes to His love. Speak boldly, speak humbly, and trust the Holy Spirit to do the rest.

Without further ado, here are the testimonies we were so excited to share with our waitress. To the best of my recollection, and with a little help from my friends, these were the “elevator testimonies” shared at dinner:

1. A Wake-Up Call from the Edge of Eternity

I am a nurse. I worked in the ER and was forced to get the vaccine. Afterward, I developed heart issues and a rare neurological airway disorder. I kept getting misdiagnosed, became an alcoholic, and was on life support more than nine times. I died a couple of times and went to hell three times. God brought me back to tell people that Heaven and hell are real, and it’s easier to go to hell than you think.

2. The Love I Always Deserved

My whole life, I’ve chased after love and joy, the kind that only Jesus Christ can give. I searched for it in all the wrong places: men, money, drugs, parties, alcohol. Even when I had those things, they were never enough. Deep inside, I was still empty, like a part of me was dead. I hit rock bottom when I put all my trust in someone other than the Lord, and it cost me everything. My world fell apart, and so did I.

Less than a year ago I was homeless and broken. I finally saw the truth: I needed help. I needed a Savior. The moment I admitted I couldn’t do it on my own, Jesus reached out to me with open arms. He said, “Come back to Me. I’ve never left you, and I’m ready to fill you with the love and joy you’ve always longed for, the love you’ve always deserved.”

3. Finding Life After Brokenness

A few years ago, I was in church every week, singing, serving, doing all the right things, but inside, I was empty. My confidence was in everything life had built, but not in God as He was another box to check. When it all fell apart, so did I. In my brokenness, I cried out, “If You’re real, I want all of You.” He met me, healed my heart, and became my life. Now I live with a fire inside, knowing there’s more, more life, more purpose, more miracles…all from intimacy with Him.

4. Finding the Father’s Love

Prior to knowing God, and encountering the magnitude of His love, I spent eight years of my life under the influence, trying to fill the void in my heart after losing my father to suicide. My father was my best friend, and his passing rocked my world.

So I searched the world looking for purpose after my father was gone. I didn’t know how to cope with his loss sober, and I never pictured that changing for me. Little did I know that there was nothing that could fill me, but Jesus.

BUT GOD picked me up out of that pit I was in. He redeemed me. He restored me. He showed me the love of a Father. He filled me with peace. He gave me a firm foundation to build my life on. If He did it for me, He WILL do it for you. God is no respecter of persons.

5. The One Who Restores — My Everything

The God I serve is my best friend, my husband, my father, my provider, my defender, my healer, literally my everything and so much more. Even when I ran from Him and made my bed in the darkest places, He was right there with me, pursuing me with love. Now, that’s a true gentleman!

I’m living proof of His unfailing love, His rescuing grace, and His transforming power. He’s been so close to this broken heart of mine. I know what it’s like to lose it all, jobs, cars, homes, relationships, my child, even my mind. You name it, I lost it.

I also know what it’s like to be pulled from the grip of death and given chance after chance. Ever since I chose to surrender to Him, He keeps blowing my mind! He’s restoring everything I lost and adding blessings I never imagined. Every day with Him gets better and better.

So, I’m here to encourage you: invite Jesus into your life and let Him amaze you! I promise, you won’t regret it!

6. From Rules to Relationship

Religion. Tradition. Rules. Perfectionism. These four traits were what I was taught God was all about. Constantly being bound and seeing no change in the home, I found myself contemplating suicide. What was the point of living when life could not be enjoyed?

Then one day, a wise old man saw me struggling and said, “Get to know God as your Father.” Those words transformed my life. I began reading the Bible on my own and discovered a different God than anyone had ever told me about before.

To this day, Jesus has taught me that God is love and that God loves me. I am worth living because I am loved by Him. It’s been more than 10 years since I first heard that quote, and every day is better than the last. Now, when I face impossible moments, I find myself walking on water side-by-side with Jesus. I have everything to gain and nothing to lose now.

7. (Final Testimony Here-awaiting)

Your Story Matters

No matter who you are or where you’ve been, your story has power. It’s not about having the perfect words or a spotless past, it’s about being willing to share what Jesus has done for you. Someone out there is waiting to hear your voice, your story, your proof that God is real and His love changes everything.

“Come and hear, all you who fear God; let me tell you what He has done for me.”  ~Psalm 66:16 NIV~

“Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story—those He redeemed from the hand of the foe.”  ~Psalm 107:2 NIV~

Return to Him today. Surrender your plans, your pain, and your past. He’s ready to restore, renew, and realign you with your divine purpose.

~ Dear Heavenly Father ~

Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.

Make today count and see you tomorrow.
