“He leads me beside still waters…”. ~Psalm 23:2b~
When things go wrong, don’t go with them. Stillness is not always found—He is to be followed. He fills the void only meant for Him to fill.
In a world of noise and movement, still waters don’t often rush to meet us. They wait. And our Shepherd is always faithful, attentive, and kind—leads us there. He knows where the quiet is. He knows what our soul is thirsty for, even when we don’t.
Sometimes we resist being led. We think we know what to do—another task, another fix, another spiritual performance. But all the while, Jesus is gently saying,
“Come this way. I have something better.”
Still waters aren’t just calm—they’re safe.
“When He has brought out all His own, He goes on ahead of them, and His sheep follow Him because they know His voice.” ~John 10:4~
This phrase carries the sense of waters of rest, or waters of quietness. The kind of place where you lower your shoulders, slow your breathing, and begin to hear again, not just what He’s saying, but who He is.
You don’t have to create this peace. You don’t have to earn it. You only have to follow. And the beauty?
The path that leads to still waters always passes through Him.
“Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.” ~Jeremiah 6:16~
“Stillness is not the absence of movement, but the presence of God.”~Jeanne Guyon~

~ Dear Heavenly Father ~
Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.
Make today count and see you tomorrow.
