I’ve long identified with the image of the warrior—courageous, battle-tested, dressed for spiritual war. But lately, I’ve found myself drawn not to the sound of marching and war, but to the stillness of the morning mist, the hush of early dawn, and my Shepherd’s quiet call.
The battles are still real. The war is still won. But in this season, I believe He’s inviting me to lie down—not in surrender to the struggle, but in surrender to Him. Join me if you desire.
“He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul.” ~Psalm 23:2–3a ESV~
This blog, Still Waters, is for those who are hungry and thirsty for His Word and Him. For those who’ve fought hard, stood long, and now feel the Lord asking them to come sit beside Him. It’s for those learning that strength is not just in standing—it’s in staying. In resting. In being held. In being quiet.
Over the next time period, I’ll be sharing reflections, scriptures, songs, and stories from the quieter places of my walk. You may not hear clanging armor in these posts, but you may hear the whisper of His voice—and maybe even your own heartbeat again.
Because sometimes the greatest act of faith is to be still.
““Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.””
~Psalms 46:10 NLT~
If you’ve never given your life to Jesus, or if you’ve walked away, trying to do life your own way it’s not too late. He’s calling you back. He’s been waiting.

Return to Him today. Surrender your plans, your pain, and your past. He’s ready to restore, renew, and realign you with your divine purpose.
~ Dear Heavenly Father ~
Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.
Make today count and see you tomorrow.
