Day 5: Come with Thanksgiving and Praise
Before we say a word, before we ask for anything, before we pour out our concerns—God invites us to come with gratitude. He already knows what’s going on in our lives—He’s simply waiting for us to come and talk with Him about His plan. Surrender is our yes.
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!” ~Psalm 100:4 (ESV).
Gratitude isn’t just a spiritual nicety. It’s the key. It unlocks the gates. It shifts your thinking. It lifts your eyes off what’s missing and onto the One who never fails.
Praise isn’t about pretending life is perfect. It’s about declaring that God is good—even in the middle of a storm. It’s choosing to thank Him in advance. It’s reminding yourself: He’s is worthy.
“I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.”~Psalm 34:1~
The enemy hates praise—because it reminds him of everything he lost. As Lucifer, he once led heaven’s worship, and now he’s jealous of the intimacy we share with God. But here’s the truth: darkness can’t linger where praise is rising. When we begin to thank God for what He’s already done and lift our hearts in praise for who He is, something shifts. Faith awakens, peace returns, and joy comes rushing back.
Today, take time to come to Him with thanksgiving. Praise Him—not just with your words, but with your heart. He’s worthy. Always.

Lord, I come into Your presence today with gratitude. Thank You for who You are and for all You’ve done. Even when I don’t understand, You are still good. I bless Your name—not because life is perfect, but because You are faithful.
What can you thank God for today, even if it feels small? How has praising Him changed your perspective before?
Consider starting a gratitude journal you use each night before bed. Challenge yourself to find at least three things to thank God for—no matter how simple they may seem. Even something like a warm shower, a kind word, or the strength to make it through the day is worth noticing. Gratitude shifts our focus and trains our hearts to see His goodness, even in the smallest moments. Let thanksgiving—for Him and His goodness—be the last word on your lips each night.
If you’ve never given your life to Jesus— or if you’ve walked away, trying to do life your own way-it’s not too late. He’s calling you back. He’s been waiting.
Return to Him today. Surrender your plans, your pain, and your past. He’s ready to restore, renew, and realign you with your divine purpose.
~ Dear Heavenly Father ~
Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.
Make today count and see you tomorrow.
