~7 Days – Coming Before the Lord 2/7~

Day 2: Come in Spirit and in Truth

Sometimes we approach God thinking we need to have the right words, the perfect posture, or the correct formula. Jesus, however, told a Samaritan woman something radically freeing: God isn’t looking for performance. He’s looking for heart.

To come before the Lord in spirit means we come led by the Holy Spirit, from the core of who we really are. It’s not about going through religious motions—it’s about letting our worship be real, alive, honest, and full of faith.

To come in truth means we come sincerely—not pretending, not hiding, not filtering our mess. We come without the mask. The Father isn’t interested in fake worship or a “show.” He wants what’s raw and honest. He wants you.

“But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” ~John 4:23–24 (ESV)~

And here’s the beautiful part: He’s actually seeking worshipers like that. He’s not waiting for you to be perfect. He’s not waiting for the song to be on key or your life to be in order. He’s looking for the one who says, “Here I am. As I am.”

This is how we meet Him. In spirit. In truth. Just as we are, before a God who already knows it all—and still welcomes us.

“When we come to the place of impossibilities, it is the grandest place for us to see the possibilities of God.” ~Smith Wigglesworth~

I’d like to offer you a couple of honest questions to reflect on:
Have you been presenting only a version of yourself to God—or are you bringing your whole self?
What truth do you need to lay before Him today?

Then go—come before Him honestly.
He is always with you, because He lives in you.

Father, I don’t want to come before You with a mask or a version of who I think you want me to be. I want to come honestly, in spirit and in truth. Search me. See me. Fill me. May my heart be a place where You’re truly worshiped—not just in songs, but in spirit.

If you’ve never given your life to Jesus— or if you’ve walked away, trying to do life your own way-it’s not too late. He’s calling you back. He’s been waiting.

Return to Him today. Surrender your plans, your pain, and your past. He’s ready to restore, renew, and realign you with your divine purpose.

~ Dear Heavenly Father ~

Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.

Make today count and see you tomorrow.
