~ This is War ~

02.July.2025

I’d like to begin today’s post with a bit of transparency. A few weeks ago, I felt a holy prompting to watch the John Wick movie series. Now, action films packed with violence aren’t my thing, but I couldn’t shake the sense that there was something deeper for me to glean—and there was.

As I watched, I began to see clear parallels to our walk in spiritual authority: lessons in endurance, power, and the necessity of being intimately familiar with our weapons—knowing how they work, and how to use them with skill and precision. Not just for survival, but for victory.

When it comes to war—especially spiritual warfare—we must remember: our enemy does not fight fair. He never has, and he never will. He’ll twist truth, exploit weakness, and use any means necessary to manipulate, deceive, and destroy. His goal isn’t just discomfort; it’s destruction.

As I’ve mentioned before, he’s studied each one of us from birth. He knows the patterns, the pressure points, the familiar triggers that get us off track. But here’s what we know: he’s not creative. He doesn’t innovate. He’s repetitive, predictable, and bound to the same old strategies. He recycles them, hoping we won’t notice—or resist.

But if we do notice…if we recognize the pattern and expose it, we disarm it.

The war may not feel fair, but we don’t live by what we see—we walk by faith.

And while the battle may rage, the victory has already been secured.

“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,” ~2 Corinthians‬ ‭10‬:‭4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬~

I had to pause recently, realizing something simple but powerful: someone from my past had taught me to be brave. It wasn’t about sheer grit or stubbornness, but about wisdom—knowing how to use whatever tool I had in my hand. Using it with intention, understanding, and practice.

That kind of skill brings the kind of courage that births true confidence.

When you know that you know…then you’ve got this.

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.”
‭‭~ 2 Corinthians‬ ‭10‬:‭3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

With that, let’s dive into another series.

One that will challenge us, equip us, and remind us who we are—and whose we are.

Let’s pick up our spiritual weapons.

~ Dear Heavenly Father ~

Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.

Make today count and see you tomorrow.
