It’s easy to chase things: comfort, money, affirmation. There’s a moment in every believer’s life when you realize you don’t want “things” anymore…you just want Him.
There’s a scene in the movie Sabrina (the 1995 version) where she finally sees it clearly.
It’s not about wealth. It’s about love.
It’s not about what the world holds for you, but what you bring to it. (Hint: it’s Him!)
Sabrina says, “I don’t want more, I don’t want any.” (Scene attached if you’re interested)
God’s love transforms, not just our destiny but our desires.
Once you’ve tasted true surrender, nothing else satisfies.
The world loses its grip. But we must decide, once and for all, to draw that line in the sand.
No more playing games. No more mixing worlds. No more halfway Christianity or “playing church.”
Just like someone chooses to quit a harmful habit, “Not one more cigarette,” “Not one more drink.” When we can say:
Not one more moment living my way. I’m done. I’m Yours.
And it’s not just sin in the obvious forms, sometimes it’s deeper. It’s who we’ve become, the inside attitudes that God hates.
“These six things the Lord hates, yes, seven are an abomination to Him:
A proud look,
A lying tongue,
Hands that shed innocent blood,
A heart that devises wicked plans,
Feet that are swift in running to evil,
A false witness who speaks lies,
And one who sows discord among brethren.” (conflict, gossip, or division). Proverbs 6:16–19 NKJV
He doesn’t hate us, He hates what harms us and others.
He invites us to let those things go. To choose life. (Deuteronomy 30:19)
Because when we’re really surrendered, we stop asking,
“Does this make me feel good?”
And start asking,
“Does this glorify God?”
So I leave you with this:
You were chosen. You were set apart. You are loved.
And yes, your life can change…radically.
Not by trying harder.
Not by chasing feelings.
Only by full surrender. Let Him take over.
He’s not just after your emotions, He’s after your heart.
I had the incredible honor of seeing Steven Curtis Chapman live in concert after years of listening to his music. What a gift. His life and songs carry such a clear anointing and this one especially, “For the Sake of the Call.” It stirs somethingl.
So I’d like to land here, if you’ll let me…
Take a moment and listen. Let the words sink in.
Because when we surrender everything, truly everything, to follow His will, no matter the cost, that’s where eternal value is found. That’s the life worth living.

If you have not committed your life to Jesus, or you have walked away from Him doing your own thing, I invite you to come back to Him today.
~ Dear Heavenly Father ~
Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.
Make today count and see you tomorrow.
