It’s hard to explain with words what happens when your spirit starts to “wake up”. It doesn’t matter if you’re sitting on a windswept moor in Yorkshire or alone in your kitchen with your Bible and a quiet cup of tea, when your spirit becomes more alive to God than your mind is to circumstances, something eternal begins to happen.
I’m learning, daily, sometimes hourly, that faith is not about forcing something to happen with mental ascent or effort. Faith is agreement. It’s surrender. And it’s alignment with the realm that’s more real than the ground I’m walking on.
There’s a difference between hope and agreement. Hope says maybe. Agreement with God says it is so.
Just when I thought I was ready to move on to the next topic, I heard a quote that stopped me from moving on. I knew in that moment, I wanted to share it and there must be a part three ~ “Believing” post ~ it’s both a challenge and a lifeline:
“The mind can only deal with what’s possible, but your spirit can move into the impossible. Why? There are no limits on the spirit of man that is filled with God. Whenever we choose to agree with God, we just left this realm. We touched into his realm. We touched into his flow, which is the spirit realm where nothing is impossible. This realm is full of impossibilities, but God‘s realm, everything is possible. Every time we respond out of the mental arena, our spirit loses proficiency. But every time we respond out of our spirit, that mental arena loses proficiency. We have to practice turning toward our spirit first. Why? That’s the faith realm.” ~ Pastor Nancy Dufresne ~
That phrase, we just left this realm was exactly what I needed to hear. I want to live that way. Not based on logic. Not based on budgets, clocks, or people’s opinions. I want to step into His reality, where the impossible is standard operating procedure.
**Matthew 19:26, Galatians 5:16, 2 Corinthians 5:7, Ephesians 3:20**
Let this be your prayer today:
Holy Spirit, teach me how to agree with God. Let me live from the inside out. Train me to leave this realm behind and step fully into Your realm.
If you have not committed your life to Jesus, or you have walked away from Him doing your own thing, I invite you to come back to Him today.
~ Dear Heavenly Father ~
Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.
Make today count and see you tomorrow.
