~No One Else – Part 1: Looking Back Will Cost You~

18.June.2025

“What eye has not seen and ear has not heard and has not entered into the heart of man, [all that] God has prepared (made and keeps ready) for those who love Him [who hold Him in affectionate reverence, promptly obeying Him and gratefully recognizing the benefits He has bestowed]. [Isa. 64:4; 65:17.]” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭2‬:‭9‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

There’s a phrase I heard that continues to challenge me: “In as much as a man looks back, that’s how much he’s missed God.”

Looking back, whether in regret, doubt, or fear, pulls us out of alignment with the now. God is moving forward, calling His people into uncharted end-time territory. What He’s doing has never been seen, never been heard, and hasn’t even entered our hearts…yet.

Jonathan Shuttlesworth shared something that landed squarely in my spirit. He was talking to his wife, Adalis, about their budget and what needed to come in. She stopped him: “I want that to be the last time you even look at what comes in or what needs to come in. If it’s up to our ability, we’re finished. We’ve never had a deficit in 18 years, and we never will.”

She reminded him (and all of us, really) that if what we’re doing is truly of God, then He will sustain it. Her words weren’t reckless, they were faith-filled. It made Jonathan say how grateful he is not to have a wife who discourages faith or tears down what God is building. Instead, she builds with him.

Their conversation is a reminder to surround ourselves with people of like precious faith, those who will stir us to believe, not shrink back.

“Hook up with people of like precious faith.” ~ Jonathan Shuttlesworth ~

Charles Fox Parham, founder of the Pentecostal movement, once said: “The anointing of the Holy Spirit is given to illuminate His Word, to open the Scriptures, and to place the spiritual man in direct communication with the mind of God.”

That’s what we need right now, spirit-to-Spirit connection with the mind of God, not worldly wisdom.

What is one area where you’ve been “looking back”? Ask the Holy Spirit to show you and help you let go today.

If you have not committed your life to Jesus, or you have walked away from Him doing your own thing, I invite you to come back to Him today.

~ Dear Heavenly Father ~

Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.

Make today count and see you tomorrow.
