~ Abundantly Filled! ~

17.June.2025

There’s something undeniably powerful about standing before a waterfall, the rush, the roar, the overspray. The other day, I shared how it reminded me of being saturated in His presence, completely immersed, with every part of us touched by His Spirit. Today, however, as I recalled that same waterfall, a different thought came to mind: a picture of how God longs to bless us. Not sparingly, like the photo below. Not occasionally. Continually…like a never-ending outpouring from Heaven into our lives.
Do we want His blessings to look like this? Just a trickle…

God desires to bless us…not just a little, not barely enough, but richly, extravagantly, and with purpose.

From the very beginning, this has been His heart. In Deuteronomy 28, God lays out the blessings of the covenant:

“The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.” Deuteronomy 28:8 (NKJV)

These blessings weren’t just for Israel. Through Jesus, we have an even better covenant, one that is eternal and sealed in His blood. We’ve been redeemed from the curse and positioned for the blessing (Galatians 3:13-14 NLT).

Here’s the key: Blessing isn’t something we earn, it’s something we receive. Like a wrapped gift sitting before us, it does nothing unless we choose to open it, to take it by faith, believe it’s ours, and speak of it as Truth.

“Every good gift and every perfect (free, large, full) gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of all [that gives] light, in [the shining of] Whom there can be no variation [rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [as in an eclipse].” James‬ ‭1‬:‭17‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

God is not holding back. In fact, He’s already given us everything we need for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3 AMPC). The waterfall today reminded me that His nature is overflow. He doesn’t trickle out provision, He pours it. (Ephesians 3:20 NKJV)

Still, we often struggle to receive. We question if we’re worthy, or wonder if He’s willing. Jesus settled that once and for all. He came so that we might have life, and not just a life of survival, but a life abundantly filled with purpose, peace, and provision (John 10:10).

If we, being imperfect parents, long to give good things to our children, how much more will our perfect Heavenly Father do for us?

“If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him!” Matthew 7:11 (ESV)

It is not arrogant to expect blessing; it’s agreement with the Truth. The more we align with His Word, believing it, speaking it, and expecting it, the more we step into the fullness of what He has already finished.

As I listened to the steady rhythm of the waterfall, a song came to mind: “Jireh” by Maverick City Music. The lyrics echo the heart of the Father: “You are enough, always enough, more than enough.” https://youtu.be/mC-zw0zCCtg?si=j2sB6RVwaEyRUs0r

That’s the truth. He is enough…and because He is, so are you. You’re not striving for blessing, you’re standing in the overflow of it.

So today, I leave you with this thought:

“God is more ready to give than we are to receive.” ~ Smith Wigglesworth ~

Let’s choose to receive. Not in fear. Not in hesitation. But with bold faith as His children He loves so, so much!.

May the photos I’ve shared, first, a gentle trickle flowing down the hillside, and then the powerful cascade of a full waterfall, offer a glimpse of the beauty I’ve witnessed. More than that, may they serve as a visual of what Heaven is doing over your life right now. Not a mere trickle, not a momentary blessing, but a continual, overflowing outpouring, pouring, cascading, blessing without end.

If you have not committed your life to Jesus, or you have walked away from Him doing your own thing, I invite you to come back to Him today.

~ Dear Heavenly Father ~

Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.

Make today count and see you tomorrow.
