~ Honoring Sacrifice, Embracing His Peace ~

26.May.2025

~ 🇺🇸Happy Memorial Day 🇺🇸 ~

As we paused to observe Memorial Day here in the United States, our hearts turned with reverence toward the brave men and women who gave their lives in military service to protect the freedoms we hold dear. But in this moment of remembrance, let us also acknowledge the silent strength of the ones they left behind ~ the spouses, children, and parents who have walked through loss with unwavering courage.

Jesus said in Matthew 25:40 (NKJV), “Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.” The way we honor our fallen and their families matters deeply to God. When we pause, reflect, and offer love and support, we are extending His heart to others. Even in service, or silence, we can become the hands and feet of Jesus to a hurting world.

In a time when the weight of sorrow or uncertainty may sit heavy on hearts, we are reminded that peace isn’t found in perfect circumstances. As Corrie Ten Boom so beautifully said, “True peace is not the absence of problems, but the presence of His love.” And what a powerful truth that is. The peace we long for doesn’t come from outward ease but from the inward assurance that He is near.

The Word of God promises this peace. Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV) declares, “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.” In a world full of shifting shadows, God offers perfect peace, not just to the strong, but to the surrendered. When our thoughts are fixed on Him, He anchors our hearts.

And if your heart is anxious today—for our nation, your family, or your future, be encouraged by Philippians 4:6-7 (NKJV):

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

As we remember the cost of freedom, let us walk forward not only with gratitude but with renewed faith. Pray for the families who carry the memories of their loved ones like sacred treasures. Honor them by living boldly and faithfully, stewarding the freedoms we’ve been given with wisdom, courage, and love.

To close, I invite you to listen to a timeless reminder of American pride and sacrifice:

Let it stir your heart to both thanksgiving and intercession, for our military, for our nation, and for the healing and peace of every family touched by sacrifice.
