As a child of God, we must choose to refuse to live under the weight of shame and condemnation. Romans 8:1 reminds us of a truth that cannot be shaken: “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.” We cannot simply believe this, but put it into action by living it.
Jesus showed us what this looks like in John 8, when He spoke to the woman caught in adultery. The crowd had disappeared, the stones had dropped, and Jesus, our Advocate, said, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” His love confronted sin, not with shame, but with grace and a call to freedom.
Judah Smith put it beautifully: “God’s love lifts us out of shame—not into it.” That’s the power of the Gospel. That’s the authority we walk in. We are no longer defined by our past, by accusations, or by failure. We are defined by the cross, by grace, and by the Spirit of God living in us.
So today, silence every accusing voice—internal or external. Choose to walk boldly, free from condemnation, and full of the authority that Christ has given you!
If you have not committed your life to Jesus, or you have walked away from Him doing your own thing, I invite you to come back to Him today.
~ Dear Heavenly Father ~
Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.
Make today count and see you tomorrow.
Consider taking time basking before Him, let Him love you.
