There is a tenderness in the way God meets us when we are broken, and yet His approach is never weak, it is powerful, intentional, and full of purpose. His love is not passive or distant; it moves with the healing force of the Holy Spirit and resurrection power. Psalm 147:3 declares, “He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds.” This is not poetic sentiment, this is Divine Truth. This is who He is.
When Jesus stood in the synagogue and read from the scroll of Isaiah, He was not merely announcing His mission; He was proclaiming the heartbeat of the Father. “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me, to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted…” (Luke 4:18). Every word carried the weight of eternity. Every word declared war on darkness. His anointing was, and still is, poured out for healing, freedom, and restoration.
God does not bypass pain; He obliterates it. He does not ignore someone suffering; He confronts it with compassion and power. In our moments of sorrow or when we are in shame, fear, or past trauma, He does not say, “Fix yourself and come to Me.” He says, “Come as you are, and let Me make you new.” He walks right into the wreckage of our hearts and begins to rebuild with love and mercy as His tools.
Heidi Baker once said, “There is no wound so deep that God’s love cannot reach and heal.” Let that truth settle into your spirit. There is no wound too deep. No history too dark. No soul too shattered. The love of God reaches into the unreachable places. It moves past our defenses, breaks through our walls, and touches the most vulnerable parts of who we are.
This is the kind of love that casts out fear. This is the kind of love that raises the dead parts of our hearts to life again. This is the love that opens blind eyes and sets captives free. And the good news? This love is not reserved for the “put-together” or the “holy”—it’s for the poor, the bruised, the lost, and the broken.
You are not forgotten. You are not too far gone. The Spirit of the Lord is still moving. There is still healing and binding wounds, but He is doing it through us..
Let Him into your pain. Let His Word wash over your soul. Let His Spirit do what no human can do, make all things new in your life from the inside out.
If you have not committed your life to Jesus, or you have walked away from Him doing your own thing, I invite you to come back to Him today.
~ Dear Heavenly Father ~
Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.
Make today count and see you tomorrow.
