~ Chosen in Love ~

20.May.2025–

You were not an accident. You were not overlooked. You were not an afterthought. You were chosen, deliberately, lovingly, and with Divine intent. As Lisa Harper so beautifully puts it, “You were not an afterthought to God. You were chosen in love, on purpose.”

In 1 Peter 2:9–10, the Holy Spirit reminds us that we are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, and His own special people. We’ve been set apart, not just from the world, but unto God, to proclaim His praises. We were called out of darkness, called out of confusion, shame, sin, fear, and purposelessness, into His marvelous light, a realm of clarity, destiny, and power.

And in John 15:16, Jesus makes something clear: “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you…” That word “appointed” carries the weight of His Plan A, Divine assignment for your life! Not only were you saved, but you were sent, to bear fruit. Real fruit. Lasting fruit. Fruit that flows from the presence of the Holy Spirit within you.

Let that sink in today. You were handpicked by Heaven, not only to belong to God, but to represent Him as His ambassador on the earth. That means your identity isn’t based on what the world says or even what your past tries to scream. Your identity is sealed in God’s Word: chosen, royal, holy, His.

So what does that mean for today? It means…

You don’t have to strive for significance. You already have it. You don’t have to fear being forgotten. God remembered you from the beginning. You don’t have to earn love. You were chosen in love. You don’t walk alone. You walk in power, filled with the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead.

As a believer, don’t be afraid to let the Holy Spirit lead you today. Whether it’s a Divine appointment with a stranger or an inspired word for a friend, you carry His light, and light always changes the darkness. You were chosen for such a time as this.

If you have not committed your life to Jesus, or you have walked away from Him doing your own thing, I invite you to come back to Him today.

~ Dear Heavenly Father ~

Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.

Make today count and see you tomorrow.

Personal Declaration:

I am chosen. I am loved. I am appointed for purpose. I walk in the Spirit, and my life bears fruit that lasts.
