~ Drawn by Love, It Transforms You ~

15.May.2025

There’s a tenderness in God’s heart that many overlook. In a world that so often values performance and perfection, it can be hard to imagine a God who bends down in kindness, who draws us not with force, but with cords of love. Yet, that’s exactly how Scripture describes Him.

“I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love, and I was to them as one who lifts up and eases the yoke over their cheeks, and I bent down to them and gently laid food before them.” ~ Hosea 11:4 AMPC ~

This verse paints such a beautiful picture. God doesn’t drive us with harshness. He doesn’t pull us with guilt or shame. He draws us, with love. Gentle, steady, human love. He eases the weight we carry and meets us at our lowest, feeding our souls with grace and compassion.

And yet, His kindness is not to be mistaken for passivity. It is not weakness. His love is powerful, strong enough to break chains and tender enough to heal the places in us that no one sees.

“Don’t you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can’t you see that his kindness is intended to turn you from your sin?” ~ Romans 2:4 NLT ~

It’s easy to misread God’s patience as permission to stay the same. In truth, His kindness is a holy invitation. It beckons us into transformation, not out of fear, but out of love. His love that pursues us. His love that waits for us. His love that keeps showing up, even when we run or resist.

Watchman Nee once said, “God’s kindness is not weakness; it’s power that transforms.” And it’s true. Nothing changes the human heart quite like the love of God. When we truly see how patient, how kind, how relentlessly faithful He is, something begins to shift in us. We no longer have to change, we want to. We want to lay down the things that hurt us and turn toward the One who heals.

If you’ve felt far from God, let this truth find you: He is not standing with arms crossed, waiting for you to get it together. He is drawing you, gently, patiently, personally. The cords He uses are not ropes of condemnation, but bands of love. He knows what you carry, and He longs to lift the yoke. To meet your hunger with His provision. To nourish the parts of you that are weary.

Let His kindness lead you. Let His love soften the places in you that feel hard or distant. You don’t have to fix yourself to come closer to Him. He’s already reaching for you.

You are being drawn…not by force, but by love. And that changes everything.

If you have not committed your life to Jesus, or you have walked away from Him doing your own thing, I invite you to come back to Him today.

~ Dear Heavenly Father ~

Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.

Make today count and see you tomorrow.
