Knowing Him Daily

The Bible is simple, and so is His love. It’s we who complicate it. In the Old Testament, we see God speaking to Moses about the whining and complaining Israelites, yet He still loved them!

“And the Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth.” Exodus‬ ‭34‬:‭6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

And in the New Testament, in 1 John 4:7, 9–10 (NKJV), we see how God loved us first. In verse 8, we’re also reminded that God is love. This simple truth holds a deeper revelation: if He is love, then love is Him. That means love is not just a feeling, love is a Person! Let’s take time to ponder that today.

“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”

~ Dear Heavenly Father ~

Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.
