30.April.2025
As April winds down and May approaches, let’s step into the new month with renewed purpose and a heart open to God’s leading.
Recently, I was reading a book where the author mentioned that doing something bold made them look a little silly. That made me pause. Then they went on to define the word dignity, and it got me thinking.
Sometimes, holding onto our “dignity” can actually keep us from moving forward, growing, or obeying God fully. What if looking silly is exactly what it takes to walk in bold obedience?
Galatians 2:20 reminds us: “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
Galatians 2:20 NKJV
In a world obsessed with appearances, our size, shape, youthfulness, and the things we say or do, it’s easy to get caught up in self-image. But Proverbs 23:7 tells us, “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he…”
Our true identity is found not in how we look or what others think, but in who we are in Christ. That means being led by the Holy Spirit, even if it means stepping out of our comfort zones.
1 Corinthians 2:9 encourages us: “But, on the contrary, as the Scripture says, What eye has not seen and ear has not heard and has not entered into the heart of man, [all that] God has prepared (made and keeps ready) for those who love Him [who hold Him in affectionate reverence, promptly obeying Him and gratefully recognizing the benefits He has bestowed]. [Isa. 64:4; 65:17.]
So today, let’s put Him first—even if it means looking a little silly. If you feel a nudge to greet someone, smile, or offer a kind word, don’t hesitate.
Even if it wasn’t Him, guess what?! You still made someone’s day. How? You saw them! God sees you. Now let’s open our eyes to others He loves and share His love with them today!
If you have not committed your life to Jesus, or you have walked away from Him doing your own thing, I invite you to come back to Him today.
~ Dear Heavenly Father ~
I admit that I have sinned and need Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins and rose from the dead. I confess Jesus as my Lord and Savior and invite Him into my heart. My past is forgiven, sins are washed away and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.
Make today count and see you tomorrow.
