~ Know What You Know ~

25.April.2025

“You don’t know what you don’t know, until you know what you didn’t know.” ~Dr. Dean Shropshire~

I don’t participate in social media, except for X, and even then, I use it minimally. One of the biggest issues I’ve seen with social media is that people tend to compare their low moments with others’ highlight reels, assuming that what they see is “normal.” It’s not.

Just the other day, I caught myself comparing what I thought I lacked in knowledge to what others seemed to know. Almost immediately, I sensed the Holy Spirit nudging me to stop. The Word speaks directly to this: “Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else. For we are each responsible for our own conduct.”
Galatians 6:4–5 (NLT)

The truth is, I don’t know what others truly know, or what they may not know, and neither do you. What looks like a strength or high point in their life could be the only one they have. Only God sees the full picture. Still, the message is clear: no comparison.

“For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves. But they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.”
2 Corinthians 10:12 (NKJV)

Don’t let what you don’t know, keep you from doing what you do know.

~Holy Spirit~

If you have not committed your life to Jesus, or you have walked away from Him doing your own thing, I invite you to come back to Him today.

Heavenly Father, I admit that I have sinned and need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins and rose from the dead. I confess Jesus as my Lord and Savior and invite Him into my heart. My past is forgiven, sins are washed away and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. Amen.

Make today count and see you tomorrow.
