~Don’t Over Spiritualize~

23/April/2025

The Bible is truly a simple, beautiful book. It was never meant to be complicated or confusing. Don’t get too caught up in your head about it. At our core, we are spirit beings, created in the image of God, placed on this earth for a specific purpose.

Scripture tells us that the deeper meanings of the Word were hidden for us, not from us. In other words, God wants us to discover His truths—but He also invites us to lean in. That means we have to be intentional, to spend time in His Word, speak it out loud, think deeply on it, and let it transform who we are from the inside out.

Jesus often taught in parables, not to make things difficult, but to throw off the religious mindset of the day and speak in ways that everyday people could understand. He kept it simple for those who had ears to hear.

This reminds me of a song I heard as a young child called “One Tin Soldier.” Even though it was written as a protest during the Vietnam War, it struck something deep in me. I’ve attached it here if you’d like to check it out, it still carries a message within a message worth thinking about.

If you have not committed your life to Jesus, or you have walked away from Him doing your own thing, I invite you to come back to Him today.

Heavenly Father, I admit that I have sinned and need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins and rose from the dead. I confess Jesus as my Lord and Savior and invite Him into my heart. Thank you for saving me. Amen.

Make today count and see you tomorrow.
